You might wonder how you can burn belly fat during your resistance training sessions. Well, truth is that you likely NOT burn THAT MUCH FAT specifically from the “actual workout”, what happens is that your body is put under tension and stress it has not experienced before. The heavy weights will force your body “to empty the tank” so to speak. You will be burning calories, sure. It takes energy to lift weights, obviously, but most of that energy will be taken from your muscles and carb stores in order to keep itself from breaking down completely. Cardio is better to lose fat, unless you do a very specific kind of resistance training called circuit training or station training with super sets and various exercises cycled to create that cardio effect from the lifting. The thing is, in my opinion is that it’s better (if you have the time) to specifically lift to build muscle (i.e. Lift heavy, and low reps) and have a seperate session of cardio after your routine, or during the days where you are not lifting to keep your metabolism spiked even during “off days” in the weight room. The actual calories that you burn from resistance training are the calories that come after the workout is finished, when the body does everything it can to “fill up the tank again”. It wants to rejuvenate and get back to “normal”, and also build more muscle so that it doesn’t have to experience the same overload one more time (it adapts to the stimulation). That’s how building muscle works, but when you train using circuit training you are not so much trying to add muscle or anything, you just want to drain the body of as much energy as possible so that it needs more energy to restore itself later. That’s the point of it… not really to biuld muscle, it’s more for losing fat. Both ways of training is good for fat loss, but in different ways. I tend to opt for the heavy weights, low reps (3×5) kind of schemes because I like it more… It’s more motivating to lift heavy and it feels nicer to lift more weight, even just once. For me, I prefer this kind of style as opposed to the 10-15 rep schemes with 3-4 sets of 6-8 exericses done in a circuit for example. My all out favorite is doing the Squat with bodyweightx1.5 or more of your own bodyweight for 5×5 reps. That’s a killer workout on its own and takes DAYS to recover from =) Anyway, hope this gives you some ideas on various ways to train in order to burn belly fat during resistance training, which the clear winner is circuit training… but the majority of the calories will be burned AFTER the workout when the body tries to “get back to level” with the energy stores.

Good luck with your training, go go go!

If you want a good fat loss program then you might have had to check around the internet to find one, and stumbled upon Turbulence Training. This is a fat loss program designed to help you lose fat through short intense workouts using your bodyweight and some easy to buy equipment such as afew light dumbells and rubber bands. Nothing fancy at all.

Is this fat loss program something to consider? If we look at what it takes to lose fat we find that the 3 main components are:

Diet

Strength Training

Cardio Training

In Turbulence Training you get educated on all three of these components. You’ll learn why long boring cardio is not the most effective way to lose fat. Instead you should be doing interval based cardio! Craig is a master at explaining how this works and Turbulence Training is one of those fat loss programs that just plain work.

You will learn how to manipulate your metabolism through effective circuit training. This is where you combine strength training and cardio to blast your metabolism through the roof for up to 48 hours after each session. That’s why you only need to work out 3 times per week for up to 45 minutes. No more!

This is a program designed to really help you make use of your time and it works great if you have little or no equipment, no access to a gym and don’t have endless hours to spare! Turbulence Training is the fat loss program to go with if you are the kind of person who doesn’t really like exercise, because I’d say that the workouts are pretty basic and simple, yet very effective.

The idea is to use “super sets” and relatively low rest in between sets to build up lactic acid and fatigue in the muscle. The following days your body will work hard to fuel those muscles. That’s how you lose fat with Turbulence Training. This is a method copied by many after Craig first released his super hit years ago.

Get a copy of Turbulence Training risk-free and try it for 60 days with no obligation. In that time you should shed tons of fat following the program and be so happy with the results you won’t need a refund! Either way you win! If it doesn’t work (which it will if you follow it exactly) you still get your money back. You have nothing to lose, except some excess fat!

Many people ask what exercises they should do to lose fat. When I tell them to do a difficult or heavy exercise they want another alterntive. “I can’t do that… It’s too hard!”. Ok. Then start slow and build your way up to being able to do that exercise. Nobody lose weight without effort. I was watching an ab-belt commercial today. No wonder they sell like hotcakes.

The promise of not having to work, AT ALL, or watch TV and lose fat, wow! And there seemed to be a never ending string of people who had lost weight without doing the work. It’s sad to see really. Losing fat takes work. It takes focus and effort. It’s not an overnight phenomenon. You can’t just ask what magic exercise you should do, or magic food, or pill. It’s a combined effort of healthy dieting, smart strength training and cardio training. PERIOD.

Some exercises are better than others, sure, but you still need to do them 2-3 times per week for 12-26 weeks. No magic exercise will work if you do it once or twice. None. No pill will work if you do not move and eat right, they may however speed up the rate at which diet and exercise produce results. But on their own, they are useless.

It’s no wonder people want the magic pill, magic workout, magic diet that will make them lose fat without effort. Marketing says we can. It’s not true! It will take more than that. To lose fat you need full dedication to the task at hand. Be prepared to sweat in the gym or at home. Be prepared for muscles to be tired. Be prepared to push beyond where you have ever been before.

If you can do this then any fat loss plan I recommend on this website WILL WORK FOR YOU.

They all include specific and various ways to perform:

Strength Training

Healthy Diet

Cardio

Correctly for the FASTEST results, but not for free. None of the programs will magically work if you are not willing to train at least 3 times per week, and train hard. You will need to replace most of your bad foods with good healthy foods, period. There is no way around this. Spend money on CRAP and get CRAP results. Do nothing, get nothing. Spend your money and time wisely, get amazing results…

Get started now, go for a 15 minute run. NOOOOW!

Then click here to get started on your fat loss journey!

If you are in the world of dieting today you have probably been told to “watch/count/restrict/limit” your calories or have a pretty close eye on them. Today I’ll share how you can lose fat without counting calories and it’s very simple too. It all boils down to the 3 pillars of fat loss: Nutrition, Strength Training & Cardio. Each have their place and are of the same importance as their order mentioned.

Nutrition is important when it comes to fat loss. You don’t want to have to count calories or you will go nuts, especially if you are just a normal person and not some bodybuilder freak or fitness model. You just want to lose weight and keep a mindful eye on your diet and be that type of person who doesn’t discuss with friends how many calories are in whatever goes in your mouth.

Well, there are some basic guidelines that I try to follow with food and it has never made me fat in combination with exercise, I actually lose fat and gain muscle following these rules:

Eat more frequently, but smaller portions, 4-6 times per day.

Eat protein with each meal.

Eat fruit and/or vegetables each meal.

Eat healthy fats each meal. (Omega-3, fish oil, flaxseed oil, olive oil, etc)

Keep out as much sugar and refined foods as possible (No soda, sugar juices, fried food, etc)

Keep all your food as natural as possible and use fresh food that you cook yourself. (fruits, veggies, lean meat, milk, good fat, etc)

These are basically all the rules I try to stick to. When I do I see dramatic results in people who stick with them, and I also obide by them as best I can. Of course you will deviate at times and have a fast food meal, or a cake or a candy bar or chips or whatever else that is not on the list of accepted foods. But as long as you are making a concious choice, and not an uncontrolled (look over that mistake) kind of choice you will be safe.

You should not deprive yourself of foods you like. Eat cake, have chips, order pizza, go have a burrito… As long as it’s part of your plan, it’s safe. When you eat it and ignore the fact that you did and do nothing about it, such as train hard and keep strict 90% of the time it won’t hurt your efforts too much. Just don’t make it a daily habit!

Eat clean 90% of the time and indulge on weekends for example, or like me, I only eat “bad foods” if they are served to me at a friends house. I try to not go to friends houses too often, and even still keep the bad foods to a minimum.

2. Strength Training – Training your muscles to be strong and vibrant is the other key to successful fat loss. You will gain muscle, strength and lose fat when lifting weights. This is great! I tend to go as heavy as possible for 5-7 reps. I find this builds strength the fastest for me. Sometimes I’ll throw in a 12 rep set at the end of a workout because I feel like it, usually with a lower weight (preferably the big compound movements).

I focus mainly on “big lifts” that recruit the most muscle per time invested. I don’t want to isolate my muscles, but rather use my whole body to do the lift to activate the most metabolic demand in my body. These are lifts such as, Squats, split squat, lunges, squat and press, jump squat, pull-ups/chin-ups, push-ups, benchpress, deadlift, overhead press, military press etc. The only ab exercise I ever do now a days is the plank. It activates the whole upper body and sucks in your gut + builds enormous strength in the abdomen. It also helps make them “bigger” and deeper.

I stay away from machines for the most part. A bicep machine is the only machine to use, but I like to use the free weights here as well.

You will be burning a lot of calories from the weight lifting, which helps with fat loss. The heavier you go the more your muscles need to use energy to re-build the muscle after breaking it down at the gym (don’t worry, it’s a good kind of breaking down, lol)

3. Cardio – A very important part of losing body fat is cardio. This is exercise that you do for extended periods of time, usually jogging, biking, cycling, swimming. Swimming being one of the most calorie expensive, followed by cycling.

The best way to do cardio for direct fat loss is: HIIT. The problem with HIIT is that it is very difficult and straneous on the body. It takes a lot of energy and a strong mind to do HIIT the right way. I can’t go into detail about it here, but be sure to notice that cardio is important. At least 3 x 45 minutes per week if you are doing low intensity and 2-3 times per week at 16 minutes each on HIIT. HIIT will burn more fat overall during that same week due to increased EPOC (afterburn).

There’s a lot of science behind it and I don’t want to bore you with it in this article, you just wanted to know what works for fat loss without counting calories. Now you know. A solid nutritional plan that’s as clean as possible of sugar and crappy food, combined with strength training and HIIT or cardio.

A solid program that adresses each one of these is: Fat Loss Factor . Read this review on Fat Loss Factor Review and get an educated opinion of this program is right for you!

When you want to lose weight you find a LOT of programs online that you think will help you lose the fat, and one of them is Fat Loss Factor. This is a program that I really like for 1 simple reason. It has the ingredients I like about a fat loss program. It contains diet and nutrition tips, with pre planned meals and grocery lists, along with tasty smoothies and recipes.

This is a very important and critical factor to fat loss success, your nutrition. I like that about Fat Loss Factor.

Another thing I advocate in any fat loss program is exercise. If the program doesn’t involve these 2 kinds of exercise I will not recommend it: Strength Training & Cardiovascular training.

No fat loss program is complete without these 2 crucial factors. Diet and exercise rule all fad diets, crappy machines, pills, potions etc. Fat Loss Factor is a program that has all 3 components and that’s why I can recommend it with confidence, having looked over it and agree to be doing about 80% of the stuff in it myself, it’s a sure bet to recommend. Although I did not try this program myself, I am using the same methods, just different exercises.

It uses the same “theory”, just a little different application than what I’m doing. I follow a very set in stone program for my needs, since I’m far beyond “losing fat” at this point, so I use the same methods, but tailored to my needs.

All I can say is that if you are not losing weight on your current plan, then Fat Loss Factor will surely help you do it quicker than you might imagine. Yes, there’s work and intense exercise as well as dieting involved, but what did you think? That you would lose fat for free? No way José, it takes work and a plan such as Fat Loss Factor to make it happen!

If you have wanted to lose weight and tried it in the past you know that your nutrition will be big part of your success. In Xtreme Fat Loss Diet by Joel Marion you’ll discover how to eat properly and burn up to 3x more fat than with a normal diet. This sounds amazing, I know, but it’s 100% true.

I can’t go into detail here how it works, because Joel’s program goes into all the science and stuff that goes along with the xtreme fat loss diet, but all I can say is that it’s a fantastic way to manipulate your diet, as well as exercise to get faster results from your efforts.

What will really surprise you is that one of his favorite tricks to getting super lean is to eat PIZZA. Yes, you heard that right, PIZZA, but of course only at very specific times during your fat loss efforts. Every day and you fail, and if you don’t “pre-deplete” your energy stores in the right way it will not work either.

You really have to see the whole thing in order to understand fully how xtreme fat loss diet really works.

Download xtreme fat loss diet here and learn more about this amazing new diet system that in my opinion totally breaks all the fat loss rules you are used to!

If you are overweight and want to lose some fat, then an idea you might come up with is to buy some kind of fat loss pill or other kind of fat loss supplement. The problem with this is that most fat loss supplements are totally worthless without a good fat loss plan before hand. Most of the supplements are outright scams.

Therefore I never suggest buying any kind of supplement, not even protein powder (which is the only one I recommend alongside creatine monohydrate). The reason I don’t recommend any fat loss supplements is because DIET beats EXERCISE beats SUPPLEMENTS.

Read that again…

Diet > Exercise > Supplements

If you don’t have your diet down, and in tune… Your exercise won’t matter, and your supplements will be a BIG WASTE OF MONEY! Seriously, diet beats both fat loss training and fat loss supplements. You have to control your diet first, then there are good ways to exercise and bad ways to exercise. People who waste their time on fat loss supplements almsot NEVER have this part of their plan together first… That’s why they fail.

Supplements should be used to do just that, SUPPLEMENT you current fat loss plan to get the last 3-5% out of your plan. A muscle building plan needs a lot of protein, so buy whey protein… Whey protein doesn’t build muscle without proper stimulation, so just eating protein powders/drinks will make you FAAAAAAAAAT!

Losing fat is simple in theory, eat less than you use for exercise… The more calories you eat that are considered “clean calories” the faster you’ll experience success. The harder you workout (intense exercise) the more fat you’ll lose… Then there are supplements that will supress hunger etc, which might be good in combination with an already working fat loss pkan, but most of the time you don’t need anything besides a whey powder and maybe some multi-vitamins and Omega-3, Omega-6 fishoils… That’s it!! No other magic “stuff” besides following a proven plan.

Don’t waste $65 on a supplement that will do you no good, when you can follow a natural plan that sheds tons more fat… Check out Turbulence Training to learn more about what I’m talking about!

Many people ask me the same questions over and over again… What should I eat and what should I exercise like in order to look like the guys in the fitness ads? Well, the truth is that there is a lot of hard work and dedication behind the people in the fitness ads, and one thing we can know for certain is that they did not get that way by using the gizmo or supplement they are trying to sell you. Nope, the best fat loss workout programs involve a series of steps and should all include 3 vital parts.

Weight or Resistance Training – Bodyweight exercises or going to the gym (building muscle)

A cardio component – Running, biking, aerobic exercise (losing fat)

Diet – A good solid nutritional guideline (to help lose fat)

The weight training should be as intense as possible… The idea is to build a lot of muscle and place your body under tension that it has never experienced before. That means using heavier weights and progressing towards more and more weight…. Don’t worry about looking like a bodybuilder either… It takes YEARS of lifting and careful dieting + supplementation too look like those guys, and many of them use steriods… The worst case scenario is that you look like a fitness model, seriously.

Cardio is important for you to lose lose fat, since weight training is building muscle… But traditional cardio also burns muscle, so therefore we are going to use High Intense Interval Training as our cardio component. This is proven to be more effective than running for longadn extended periods of time, such as 1 hour on a treadmill.

Instead we can do 15 minutes of intervals, where the working set is only 7-8 minutes and the rest is 7-8 minutes as well, and this will burn more calories over 72 hours than the 1 hour on the treadmill would. The key here as well is to increase the intensity and progress. So if you are doing 1 minute of work, try doing 1 minute of harder work for each week. Or if you are doing a bodyweight exercise like the burpee for your HIIT, then you want to increase the speed at which you do your burpees to reach a higher level of work during the same period of time.

Any fat loss program that doesn’t have all 3 of these components (diet, cardio and weight training) is a waste of time in my book. You need all three components, although cardio can be worked into your weight training in the form of circuit training or little to no rest periods between sets in order to keep the heart rate up.

Craig Ballantyne has a really, really good program for fat loss that has these exact components in it… He calls it his turbulence training program and you can download a copy of this program from his website over at turbulence training.

Have you seen the fat burning furnace program and wonder what it is and who Rob Poulos is, then this is the place to further educate yourself about it. Rob Poulos is a guy who used to be overweight, but is not any longer. He used the methods explained within fat burning furnace to lose 42 lbs of fat and build extra muscle.

Click here to download fat burning furnace right now and get a free trial!

His program uses the effective training protocol of “High Intensity Training” meaning that you put in a lot of effort for a short period of time in order to shock your body to respond, by either burning fat or building muscle, but many times both at the same time. Hundreds of thousands of people visit his website each month to learn about his story and get the tips he shows to lose weight.

Is high intensity good for fat loss? In a few words, absolutely. High intensity will build maximum muscle and help your muscles take up a lot of the energy that you are storing as fat, turning your body into fat burning mode 24/7 for up to 3 days!

This means you are burning fat through EPOC, (afterburn) for an extended period of time, and that’s how you lose weight using the program. It doesn’t involve any cardio, although you might want to add some anyway and it is recommned that you do at times in order to get your heart beating and working.

You get the PDF ebook manual, as well as videos if you upgrade that shows you each exercise in detail so that you know what to do during your workouts. I think this program is something for people who are busy and do not have time to workout for extended periods of time many times each week, but would rather get in and get out, but still get the same effect.

When you are overweight and look down at your belly and see this excess barell of lard filling up your system you might feel that there has to be a fat loss secret that the diet industry is not telling you… Maybe you’ve tried every single pill, potion and diet system out there in order to see nothing but the recurrance of weight lost + weight gained back and more…

This is called, losing water weight and gaining fat because the diet is too hard, too unblanaced of just plain full of crap. Many diets are even dangerous to say the least. You never want to starve yourself, or focus only on a few foods. Instead you should get a good solid balanced “nutritional plan” (not diet) and follow the “big guidelines”, such as eat certain foods, stay away from others. Otherwise it’s just too hard to work with.

I say, eat green stuff (veggies and fruits) as well as things that have grown on tree’s such as nuts and berries. Eat stuff that swim, run of flies, such as chicken, fish and other lean meats. Stay away from the foods that are being fed with fattening stuff, such as pigs! Eat 6 smaller meals per day to rev up your metabolism, while keeping a 250-500 calorie defecit per day on average.

Do heavy weight training exercise 3 times per week, every other day, monday, wednesday, friday for example… always trying to progress and lift heavier or more reps than you did last time you were in the gym, or worked out at home. Focus mainly on large movements that recruit the most muscle, such as squats, deadlifts, bench press, pull-ups, rows and military presses or shoulder presses.

Each week have 1-2 sessions of high intense interval training that you do for 16 minutes, progressing there as well. The idea is to eat clean and challenge your body to do new things it didn’t know how to do before and fuel it with good nutrients to rebuild any muscle that was broken down (through proper exercise).

Keep doing this until you reach your ideal body fat (yes, body fat), not body weight. You can look completely different at 160 lbs. One can be lean and one can be fat, which one would you rather be? One is muscle the other is fat and bones… Train hard to avoid being “skinny fat” or “cardio crazy”…

A program I recommend that allows you to follow through with this plan entirely is Fat Burning Furnace and is one of those programs I recommend you start out on for 12 weeks if you want to get in shape in order to get into more advanced fitness programs at a later time.

Fat Burning Furnace focuses on all the things I recommend. Short intense workouts that burn fat and recruit maximum muscle. A simple, a not overly complicated eating plan with good foods vs bad foods and a good body fat calculator to help you find out what your progress is like.

Check out Fat Burning Furnace right now to learn how Rob Poulos lost over 42 lbs of fat using these methods and how you can too!
